Dear E-Colleagues:

(1) Referring to our previous msgs (References (a) and (b) above), I would like to invite you to participate in our ÒGlobal Lecture Hall (GLH)Ó multipoint-to-multipoint, multimedia, interactive videoconferencing which is to be held in the morning (NYC time) of the coming April 18th (References (c), (d), and (e) above).

(2) We will have participation of our colleagues from selected ECOWAS countries which are listed in the last page of the Reference (h) above.

Victor said that his ÒAfrica Coast to Europe (ACE)Ó ultra high speed optical fiber submarine cable <http://tinyurl.com/98to67z> has already landed in Gambia, Sierra Leon, and Ghana — BTW, Nigeria is to be made by this coming July, Benin by the end of this year, and South Africa by the end of 2014, which is then to be connected with EASSy another high speed submarine optical fiber cable along the east coast of Africa — but our colleagues in those countries of Nigeria and Benin will participate through their Internet, if it has 28.8 Kbps or above capability.

(3) Should you be interested in participating in this GLH via your Internet access, pls ask its detail procedures to Michael or Youcef.

(4) This April 18th occasion has the following two purposes;

(a) Announcement of the availability of broadband Internet along the west coast of African continent (see References (f) and (g) above),

(b) Preparation for the planning workshop of our GEWS project (see References (h) and (i) above), which will be held at the GLORIAD office at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville (UTK) in this coming summer — this GEWS project is to conduct collaborative research on the co-prosperity of ECOWAS countries as interlinking socio-economic-energy-environment simulation models of their countries.  This is the first step of constructing global socio-economic-energy-environmental simulation model in a global virtual supercomputer in globally distributed simulation mode.

In a sense, this GLH at the Stevens Institute of Technology on April 18th is a prelude to the GEWS project, i.e., to get knowing each other for subsequent collaborative research on their co-prosperity as stimulating young creative brainpower in those ECOWAS countries.

Best, Tak
